Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Report Developer to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Duties:

  • Develop data analytics projects that gather and integrate data, perform analysis, interpret results, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company
  • Acquire data from multiple sources to perform analysis and develop high-performing, maintainable, production-quality solutions
  • Demonstrate extensive experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, T-SQL, DB2, and SQL Server
  • Recognize business requirements and devise solutions to meet data needs
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business experts to implement data-driven policies and initiatives throughout the enterprise
  • Gather, clean, and prepare data for analytics and visualization
  • Manage and use the Tableau platform to gain valuable insights
  • Recognize business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant insights
  • Use Power BI to create dashboards and interactive visual reports
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) using Tableau and Power BI with specific objectives and track them regularly
  • Create reports using a variety of graphical and data modeling techniques
  • Create new KPIs and monitor them consistently in datasets
  • Gather and normalize data from multiple sources, create, test, and publish dashboards and reports, and schedule refreshes
  • Define access controls and implement security measures as needed
  • Drill deep into data and generate reports, actively control Tableau performance and usability to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Design wireframes and beta dashboards with an emphasis on user experience, consistency, and visibility
  • Enhance the process of data management, collection, dashboard design, and product lifecycle management
  • Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner, allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations to make data-driven decisions
  • Troubleshoot data or performance issues with workbooks and data sources
  • Monitor reports and dashboards and make required modifications
  • Demonstrate expertise in developing and operating Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics
  • Query and present massive datasets while optimizing workbook performance
  • Translate complicated business needs into technical specifications by interpreting technical or dashboard structures
  • Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner, allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations to make data-driven decisions

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Exceptional data visualization skills
  • Strong experience in Power BI and Tableau Experience in Web FOCUS Report Development
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, MS SQL Server, SQL Query Scripting, SSIS, DWH Concepts, Jira, GitHub Able to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to function in team environment with direction from your supervisor
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of PC software tools such as: Word, Excel and Project applications

The approximate pay range for this position is between $32.00 and $47.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
