Job Title: Power BI Developer (Contract) Location: Scottsdale, AZ Duration: 2 Months Overview: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer for a 2-month contract position in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing 6 to 10 dashboards with various data matrix sources. This role will involve close collaboration with the Senior SharePoint Developer and reporting directly to me. Key Responsibilities: Designing and Developing BI Reports and Dashboards: Understand business requirements and design effective data models. Develop and implement visualizations to provide actionable insights. Create and maintain dashboards and reports with clear, user-friendly interfaces. Data Management: Manage data sets, ensuring they are clean, accurate, and ready for analysis. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes as needed. Implement data governance practices to maintain data quality. Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and data scientists to understand their data needs. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that meet those needs. Facilitate communication between stakeholders and ensure alignment on project goals. Ensuring Data Accuracy: Validate and verify the accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards and reports. Implement quality checks and troubleshoot any issues related to data discrepancies. Regularly review and update reports to reflect accurate and timely information. Qualifications: Proven experience in Power BI development, including designing and implementing dashboards and reports. Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data management best practices. Proficiency in DAX and Power Query for data manipulation and visualization. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver data solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring data accuracy. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SharePoint and its integration with Power BI.
