IT Tech Support Technician

We are hiring a IT Technician having a sound knowledge of computer software, hardware, internet applications, operating systems, and networks. You need to maximize the functionality of technology by installing, maintaining and updating computer systems and networks. You will also be responsible for training the users for safe usage of information technology systems.

In order to succeed in this job, you should have excellent troubleshooting abilities with a keen eye for details. You must also have experience in an IT-related field or have completed college level IT curriculum or technical certifications in Information Technology. Lastly, you must be a team player with the ability to perform well in a team environment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field, OR
• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an IT-related field, preferably as an IT Technician.
• Problem Identification and troubleshooting skills
• Complete knowledge of different computer systems, operating systems and data networks
• Basic knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified IT Professional or CompTIA A+
• Organizational, management and communication skills
• Ability to take quick decisions and work in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Setting up workstations with computers along with all related peripheral devices such as routers and printers etc.
• Ensuring functionality of IT systems by maintaining data networks as well as computer hardware like mouse, HDD, printers, and keyboards
• Organizing and scheduling routine upgrades as well as implementing them without disturbing other users
• Providing guidance and orientation to other users on the usage of IT systems as well as software.
• Installing and configuring appropriate software according to the specifications
• Keeping track of all repair and maintenance data in the form of records, logs, and maintenance schedule.
• Ensuring privacy and security of computer systems and data networks
• Maintaining local networks so as to optimize their performance
• Regularly performing troubleshooting processes to identify and resolve problems and bugs as soon as they arise
• Identifying computer or network equipment shortages and notifying your supervisor to place an order
