About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Triangle Area Chapter. This external-facing role is pivotal in community relations, with a focus on supporting mission capacity building, and strengthening relationships across all community elements. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as the primary liaison to the community, developing sustained community relationships, and managing the chapter board and community volunteer leaders. Key responsibilities include maximizing the organization's presence in the community, expanding awareness of its contributions, and influencing to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion. The role also involves serving as a member of the Elected Officials Liaison Network and may require travel for disaster responses. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 7 years' related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. Management experience is preferred, and proficiency in MS Office is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and sustaining community relationships, and the ability to work effectively in a team. The position demands a high level of flexibility, the capacity to manage change, and a commitment to the mission of the organization.
