We have an exciting opportunity for a System Verification and Validation Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .

If selected you will:

• Experienced developing test cases and test scripts for software verification efforts - Experienced integrating software from various vendors
• Experienced with developing tests for dynamic physical systems
• Experienced with data analysis and simulation techniques
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

• Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop and test high criticality software Experience with highly autonomous systems
• Experience with web-based collaboration tools Proficiency with C/C++ coding in a Linux environment Experience with agile software development
• Should be a quick learner and self-motivated
• Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills and strong customer service attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
• Experience developing software across the full development life cycle Knowledge of the NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software Experience with the following web-based collaboration tools- JIRA
• Confluence
• Slack
• SharePoint
• Safety and flight critical software development NASA software and systems development standards
