Position Title: Roaster’s Assistant

Department: Roastery

Reports To: Roast Master & General Manager

Location: Savannah Coffee Roasters – Savannah, GA

Employment Type: Full-Time (30 - 40 Hours)

Position Summary:

Savannah Coffee Roasters is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Roaster’s Assistant to support fulfillment, packaging, deliveries, and day-to-day roastery operations. This is a logistics-heavy, delivery-critical role. You must have a valid driver’s license and be available to run local deliveries consistently. This is a non-negotiable requirement.

Driving and making daily deliveries is required and non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver orders daily to wholesale clients, cafés, and accounts across the Savannah area using a company vehicle.
• Package roasted coffee into retail and bulk bags; label, seal, and prepare for delivery or shipping.
• Pick, pack, and fulfill orders from café, online store, and wholesale channels.
• Monitor and manage the order schedule to ensure accurate and on-time delivery and fulfillment.
• Maintain professional communication via email with internal team and external customers regarding order status, delivery times, or issues.
• Keep roastery workspace clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
• Track and notify manager of low stock levels for packaging, labels, or shipping supplies.
• Assist with transfers between café and warehouse inventory as needed.
• Perform light cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, and surface sanitizing.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle daily and confident navigating local routes. Further route is roughly one hour and 20 minutes one way.
• Highly dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically active tasks.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Basic familiarity with email communication and order tracking systems (training provided).
• Previous experience in delivery, fulfillment, or warehouse operations is a plus.

Schedule & Availability:

• Standard shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Most shifts will be Monday–Friday, but specific days are not guaranteed and may change according to business demands . Flexibility is essential during peak periods or holiday volume.
