Title: Dispatcher Pay Rate Range: $18 - $22 per hour Location: Syosset, New York Training Location: You will be required to work out of our Ridgewood location for your first 2 months of employment for training. Once you complete your 2 months of training in Ridgewood, you will then report directly to our Syosset location. Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. *schedules are subject to change based on operational needs. Responsibilities: Call Management: Handle high-volume intake calls, prioritize, and dispatch using CAD systems Resource Coordination: Determine the appropriate level of care and coordinate transport activities with field EMTs Customer Service : Provide courteous, friendly service to medical facilities, the public, and fellow EMS staff Trip Assignment: Assign trips to the appropriate resources based on needs and availability Billing Support: Collect patient billing information and assist with pre-billing activities. Other tasks as assigned Requirements: High School Diploma / GED Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of transportation dispatch experience (EMS dispatch preferred) Emergency Medical Technician - EMT experience Strong geographical knowledge of service areas Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations Proficiency in typing (40-45 WPM) and data entry experience Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software EEO/AAP Statement: DocGo is an equal opportunity employer.
