Founded in 1969, the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis (CFGM) brings a half-century of experience and expertise in working with donors, professional advisors, and nonprofits to help strengthen local communities through philanthropy. CFGM is specifically focused on the geographic regions of West Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi, with a concentrated effort on the Memphis metropolitan area. The assets of the Foundation are approximately $780 million as of July 31, 2019, representing significant growth over the last decade. The Foundation prides itself on being deeply rooted in the community; staff live and work locally, and 81% of last year’s grants went to local organizations. The Foundation seeks a new CFO with strong financial and strategic acumen, and familiarity with the foundation environment — especially community foundations.
